The New Year Ahead

December 28, 2013

Well, 2013 is just days away from coming to an end and I’m very much looking forward to the arrival of 2014. I wouldn’t say 2013 was a bad year, just not so much a good one. Back issues and money problems played a major role in this. Looking ahead now at 2014 I’m focused on making it a good year and making some initial plans.

No more production work in 2014 such as cheese presses, butter presses etc. I took on production work in 2013 because it helped to bring in money for bills. Looking back now it really didn’t bring in a fair wage and it also put a lot of wear & tear on my tools.

I will not be exhibiting at the 2014 Fine Furnishings Show. I’m going to explore other ways of marketing & selling my work. I’ll keep you all posted as to how.

Since I’ll no longer be doing production work I’ll be able to dedicate more time to milling logs into lumber. This I’m really looking forward to, I’ll post photos.

That’s about all for now, more will come in the weeks and months ahead.
